I remember one day back when I was working retail a woman came up to me and asked what we were listening to. “The Beatles” I told her, to which she replied, “never heard of them, are they new?”. I walked away disgusted just as a ceiling tile fell from the roof, killing her instantly. The woman’s family sued my employer in civil court for wrongful death. The store went broke and we all lost our jobs. I kept in touch with some of the people I worked with. Some of us got other jobs, some of us had a tougher time. My friend Yousif turned to militant radical Islam. My manager Craig began selling his plasma to pay for his duster addiction. In one of my more notable brushes with fame, one of the girls in loss prevention ended up being in that ‘two girls one cup’ video. There was also a rash of suicides in the neighbourhood after we closed shop, none of them related to the store but an interesting sidenote nonetheless. Now Russell Brand isn’t the Beatles and I’ve relearned how to smile, but thanks to you I’m sitting here again, thinking of that woman and all she took from us that day.

That was plain genius.
